Gemar at Race for the Cure 2025: A Breath of Emotion

Every year, Race for the Cure brings thousands together in Rome to raise awareness about breast cancer and promote prevention. For Gemar, being part of this event goes far beyond decoration — it’s about standing beside those who fight, remember, and hope.

At the 2025 edition, we were honoured to contribute not only with our balloons, but by creating two meaningful and emotional spaces:
the Emotional Room and the Bubble Room.

The Emotional Room was designed to evoke the same sense of unity and remembrance once felt during the traditional balloon release that closed every Race. Today, out of respect for the environment, that symbolic gesture lives on in this delicate and immersive space. With gentle shapes and pastel colours, each balloon became a quiet tribute — a breath of support, a message of care, and a collective moment of reflection.

Next to it, the Bubble Room offered a completely different energy. Situated between play and imagination, it invited visitors to follow the drifting bubbles — like following the wind — and let go for a moment of joy, wonder, and lightness.

“We are incredibly proud to have taken part in such a powerful event,”
says Gloria Veta.
“Our goal was to help create places that could hold emotion and offer comfort, while also reminding us that even lightness can be meaningful.”

We’re sincerely thankful to the Komen Italia team, especially Samantha D’Affronto and Silvia Giammaroli, for the trust and care that made this collaboration possible.

At Gemar, we believe that even the simplest gestures — a balloon, a bubble — can carry deep emotion.
And we will keep supporting those who fight, live, and hope — one balloon at a time.

Ogni anno, la Race for the Cure riunisce migliaia di persone a Roma per sensibilizzare sul tumore al seno e promuovere la prevenzione.
Per noi di Gemar, far parte di questo evento significa molto più che decorare: significa schierarci al fianco di chi combatte, ricorda e spera.

In occasione dell’edizione 2025, abbiamo avuto l’onore di contribuire non solo con i nostri palloncini, ma anche creando due spazi carichi di significato ed emozione:
la Emotional Room e la Stanza delle bolle di Sapone.

La Emotional Room è stata pensata per evocare lo stesso senso di unità e raccoglimento che un tempo si viveva durante il tradizionale lancio di palloncini, che chiudeva ogni edizione della Race. Oggi, nel rispetto dell’ambiente, quel gesto simbolico vive in questo spazio delicato e immersivo. Con forme morbide e colori pastello, ogni palloncino è diventato un tributo silenzioso — un respiro di supporto, un messaggio di cura, un momento condiviso di riflessione.

Accanto a questa, la Stanza delle bolle di sapone ha offerto un’energia completamente diversa. Collocata tra il gioco e l’immaginazione, ha invitato i visitatori a seguire il flusso delle bolle — come seguire il vento — e lasciarsi andare per un attimo a gioia, stupore e leggerezza.

“Siamo immensamente orgogliosi di aver preso parte a un evento tanto significativo,”
racconta Gloria Veta.
“Il nostro obiettivo era creare spazi capaci di contenere emozioni e offrire conforto, ricordandoci allo stesso tempo che anche la leggerezza può avere un valore profondo.”

Siamo sinceramente grati al team di Komen Italia, in particolare a Samantha D’Affronto e Silvia Giammaroli, per la fiducia e la cura che hanno reso possibile questa collaborazione.

In Gemar, crediamo che anche i gesti più semplici — un palloncino, una bolla — possano portare con sé emozioni profonde.
E continueremo a sostenere chi combatte, chi vive, e chi spera… un palloncino alla volta.
