Lifting the moment, live
Our adventures into the online space continued with the second GemarDay Live on the 1st and 2nd of December 2020. We love being able to get together with so many people to share our passion for balloons, no matter what else is going on in the world!
With a few minor technical hitches ironed out behind the scenes, this GemarDay was a great success. We welcomed 65 balloon enthusiasts, who were all keen to open their balloon kits and get hands on.
The magic and fun of a GemarDay was streamed directly to living rooms, dining rooms and home offices, where our Masters showed the participants the secrets of some truly beautiful sculptures. The kits contained everything they needed to get hands on and soon homes started to fill with balloons, creating a true party atmosphere.
Did you know that a group of butterflies can be called a kaleidoscope? Such an inspiring name for this colourful display, and one that seems a perfect fit for beautiful balloon sculptures. Between us, we certainly made a stunning kaleidoscope of butterflies in the “Welcome To the Jungle” session, and we loved seeing Gemar Shiny balloons come to life to create these delicate creatures.
Of course that’s not all, sessions covered everything from small balloon bouquets to stand alone columns and even a wall, using Gemar Crystal Rainbow balloons to great effect. Participants learnt many techniques, from Foam Board to G-link. In fact, three participants were awarded prizes for their efforts, as winners of the “IDidIt” contest that ran throughout the day.
As ever, we have to thank everyone involved in putting this unique GemarDay together. A special mention has to go to Viktoria, from our Partner Ukrasi, who did a wonderful job helping to answer everyone’s questions and making sure things ran smoothly.
We are already looking forward to lifting the moment at the next GemarDay Live.
